Sisters, Oregon (April 4, 2023) - Despite the inclement weather that postponed the planned 2023 Sisters Rodeo Kick Off Party until the last Saturday of the month (instead of the first), I headed east and over the mountains to the amazing western wear store of Dixie’s in downtown Sisters. One of my favorite things about the Sisters Rodeo, is that small town, old-western feel that the entire town embraces.

Did you know that it’s actually a requirement which is why you’ll find larger chain stores like Les Schwab Tires and McDonald’s fitting the old west theme?

I had never attended a poster reveal party with Dixie’s and the Sister’s Rodeo, but after this one - there’s no way I’ll miss in the future! While the snow started to come down outside, we were warm and toasty inside, sipping champagne in celebration, as we met the artist (Dyrk Godby), the directors, the 2023 rodeo queen Sadie Bateman, and even the competitors that are featured in the painting this year.
